Reporting to the DAAD Radar Team Lead within the UK, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proven capability and experience of designing and developing software for high performance embedded systems.

Your Tasks

  •  Realization of embedded software for microcontrollers using established company design practices and software life cycles in line with the ISO2001:2008 quality system and high integrity design standards
  • Provide close coordination of project activities throughout the duration of the project between both the development teams and the customer
  • Interpretation of system requirements in collaboration with systems and hardware engineers to generate software requirements using formal methods
  • High and low-level problem solving of technical issues, particularly in the domain of automotive radar and ADAS
  • Code implementation using C/C++/Python programming languages, assembly language and automatic code generation from modelled environments (AUTOsar Tresos/DaVinci)
  • Regular peer reviews of source code & design documentation
  • Generation and maintenance of Unit, SiL & HiL tests
  • Software build system & script maintenance
  • Generation and execution of test plans and reports at all levels of the “V” life cycle, including unit/structural tests, integration tests and verification/validation tests
  • Generation, maintenance and formal review of technical documentation
  • Active participation in regular project and team meetings
  • Responsibility and ownership of ADAS product elements (e.g. software components, tooling topics) and/or technical project team roles (Function Owner, Component Owner, etc…)
  • Requirements management & maintenance using DOORs
  • Team & Task workflow management using tools such as JIRA, MKS Integrity

Your Profile

  • Degree-qualified in an appropriate science or engineering discipline;
  • Experience of programming using C, C++ and assembly languages
  • Experience with AUTOsar concepts and tools highly beneficial
  • Experience using requirements management and specification tools e.g. DOORS
  • Experience using configuration management tools e.g. MKS Integrity
  • Experience with software design methodologies and tools e.g. UML, Rhapsody
  • Experience with CAN based test tools e.g. CANoe, CANalyser, CANape, PCAN or ValueCAN
  • An ability to interpret circuit schematics and understand the basic operation of electronics hardware, especially microprocessor peripheral support circuitry
  • Good test and analysis skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English language only)
  • Proficiency with standard office tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • A team player with the ability to work alone unsupervised
  • Highly-motivated and capable of working on multiple activities concurrently
